Presented is a large round tall vase in stoneware covered with polychrome flambé lead glazes. This beautiful work was made by Edgard Aubry, Bouffioulx. It has a round globular body with a retracted vertical slightly sloping edge and narrowing at the bottom to a round high base. It is covered with lead glazes in blue, cream, brown and black color that flow into each other and form a beautiful color palette. On the sides there are two large handles with ornaments in the shape of two ram’s heads. At the bottom the red colored base is inscribed in handwriting with “Aubrey”. Very beautiful sculpture.
