Meer informatie
Presented is a large Chinese porcelain fish bowl. This has a round base that narrows into a spherical body and spreads into an upright circular rim. On a white light bluish glaze all around overglaze in famille verte palette (used colors are shades of green, dirty yellow, iron red, eggplant, manganese, white, black) is a garden decor with fencing, trees and even a palm tree with various characters enjoying themselves, gesticulate, rest, hand-painted. The main decor is that of an imperial couple seated on a throne at a table indoors. Their costumes are beautiful, true showpieces. The room is closed off by, among other things, a large multi-panel paravent on which water waves with sea creatures, herons and plants. A whole procession of dignitaries greet the imperial couple. Two fo dogs in cobalt color are embossed at the top of the two outer sides. The inside of the jar is covered with a light bluish glaze. The bottom is not glazed at the bottom and shows spiral rotating rings. There is no mark.
Condition: hardly disturbing hairline from edge to bottom approx. 8 cm, flaking on the face of the fo dogs, otherwise perfect.
