Beautifully elaborated copper narrow ovoid vases, one large, one smaller. A brown-gold colored marbled enamel has been applied to a copper background. After the baking process, this was covered in art nouveau style with copper enamelled wires. A floral decoration with a showy peacock on both sides was thus created on the large vase. Afterwards, some zones were still painted cold with various enamel colors. The small vase was decorated in an identical way with the image of a male and female peacock sitting on branches on both sides. Smooth polished bottom. Both vases are not signed. Actually very beautiful pieces, made in the art nouveau period, probably between 1900-20.
Condition: some traces of use, otherwise good status.
