This glass vase was designed by Georges De Feure (1868-1943).

de Feure was a well-known Symbolist artist before he became a key figure of the Art Nouveau scene in Paris. He designed many pieces for the Art Nouveau pavilion at the Exposition Universelle of 1900, including a handful of decorative objects in glass.

This vase is molded in an opalescent amethyst color. It is decorated in relief with a very sharp frieze of classical dancers and musicians. On the base. we see the molded signature of “G de Feure”. Art Nouveau period, ca.1910.

Weighs just over 1 kilo

Condition: scattered scratches on the surface, lesions on the lip.
