Meer informatie

Presented is a beautiful decorative vase made by Emile Gallé in Nancy France. It has a rare shape with a spherical corpus from which a long cylindrical tapered neck develops. The collar widens at the top in a semi-spherical shape and ends with a flat, round plateau. The glass is inlaid with cloudy grey, greenish, lilac and orange color powders. Two layers of glass were applied on the one hand, in yellow color on the one hand, and on the other with almost colorless glass threads. A large wallflower with leaves is acid etched on the corpus, and leaves and tendrils run on the neck up to the top. The object is signed in cameo with “GallE” with Latin “E”. At the bottom we see a nicely polished pontille. To be dated around 1910.

Condition: some small pits on the corpus but due to the production process, otherwise in perfect condition.

NB. : the second analog soliflore vase in the last photo is not included in this offer. You will find information about this other vase on another page at glass art nouveau.
