Meer informatie

We present three Japanese round outlined small plates with blue and white floral decoration, made in the Chinese Kangxi style. In the plate they are hand painted on a bright white cover with rocks, bushes and flowers. The elevation and strongly sloping flat, slightly lobed border are very meticulously painted with sharply outlined lotus leaves in cracked decoration in relief filled with lotus flowers (Buddhist symbol for purity and fertility and also stands for summer) and foliage with insects in between. The edge shows a serrated pattern. On the back, the border is decorated with three leafy branches. A six-character mark in blue underglaze is placed in the center of a double circle.

Condition: perfect.
