Meer informatie

The Kahla porcelain factory was founded in 1844 by Christian Eckhardt. It quickly enjoyed great success, first in Thuringia, later throughout Germany. In 1914 the porcelain factories of Arzberg, Hutschenreuter and Schönwald were taken over. In the days of East Germany, the company became a state concern. After the fall of the wall it became a private company again, but in 1994 it was on the brink of collapse. Günther Raithel saved the company and converted it into Kahla/Thüringen Porzellan GmbH and implemented a modernization. Since 2000, Kahla has been in the hands of the Raithel family. Today it is one of the most modern porcelain manufactures. Presented are six round large flat fish plates together with a rectangular plateau. The plateau is rounded at the corners. They are produced by the Kahla GDR porcelain factory. The plates show two printed fish in the flat on the white glossy glaze, one large, one small, each of a different species, between seaweed and rocks. The plateau is printed with four fish, two large, two small. They are fully glazed at the bottom and all are marked in the center in olive green with “KAHLA MADE IN GDR” and a number (1,2,3,3,4,5). This mark was used from 1968-1987.

Condition: some black dots in two plates, otherwise all perfect.
