Meer informatie

This model of a perfume bottle, called “Pan” or “Quatre têtes de faunes”, was designed by René Lalique in 1920 in Wingen-sur-Moder. Colorless glass blown into the mold, opalescent, patinated and hand decorated. Remains of brown enamel color. The stop is pressed into the mold. Very elegant bottle with conically widening corpus and with slightly arched shoulder that narrows into a narrow cylindrical neck with widening flat circular top. Raised in relief with four satyrs’ heads whose horns make contact and each with a long pointed beard. A vertical garland leaves between the heads to make contact with each other in an arcuate manner on each side against the foot. The top of the vial has a narrower internal cylindrical opening into which the vial stopper fits. The stopper bears an elaborate flower owl at its top. At the bottom of the stop we see the hand-engraved number “182”. Marked at the bottom of the rim with the molded name “R LALIQUE” and also on the rim with the hand-engraved number “182”, same as the one on the stopper.

Perfect condition.
