Meer informatie

On display is an exceptional and superb glass bonbonnière with lid made by the glass factory of René Lalique in Wingen-Sur-Moder in France in the full Art Deco period. This one was called “Amour assis”. The round high cylindrical box, with a wider round foot, is made of clear glass. Fits a glass satin lid that is made up of a high cylindrical base that fits over the box. Beautiful are the embossed floral stems that run on the outside of this base. The base merges at the top into a discreet dome-shaped elevation with an exceptionally beautiful seated naked putto figure rising in the center, on a rocky bottom. Resting on his left arm, knees slightly drawn up, he looks with his head, with frizzy hair, slightly to the left. He wears two wings on his back. There are traces of traces of brown patina. The box is not marked. The satin version could be made to order. The lid is engraved on the bottom on the outside of the wheel with “R. LALIQUE”. This bonbonnière was created in 1919.

Condition: some minimal signs of wear, otherwise perfect.
