Meer informatie

Shown is a porcelain mythological figure group made by the Meissen factory, Dresden, Germany. On a slightly raised, almost rectangular green-brown spotted base with gilded border at the bottom, stands a naked figure of Diana, goddess of the hunt, with a quiver in her right hand. On her right knee, a putt bow floats in the left hand. A second putto is sitting at her feet with two hands together. At the back, the figure of Diana is supported by a tree stump. Marked at the bottom of the lowered base in underglaze blue with the crossed swords and dating around the middle of the 19th century (neo-rococo period). On the side of it is the number “72.” hand-painted in black. The number “76” is pressed. A triangle is imprinted above the sword mark. Inscribed we see “AC5”.

Condition: unfortunately one wing of the floating putto is missing and the lower part of its bow is also missing. Can be restored if necessary. Otherwise in perfect condition.
