More information
On a raised square base with gilt base stands a girl with a long skirt with floral pattern with yellow pleated cloth over a white blouse. The head is slightly turned to the right with a blush on the cheeks. Her left arm is tucked into the left hip. In her right hand she carries a flower pot with dark green leaves and burgundy flowers. The figurine is marked at the bottom with a late-added overglaze mark in blue marker or ink that stands for Edmé Samson, but it is clearly not and everything points to an originally unsigned Meissen figurine dating from the end of the 19th century. It is completely unclear to me why this was done. Was it thought that this mark also stood for Meissen and thus deceptively increase the value? In any case, they had no basic knowledge of marks.
Condition: perfect.
