Meissen, putto with walking stick.

A boy with two wings (= putto) with striped breeches and a full blue overcoat stands on an angularly bordered round raised white base with a gilded edge. The head is turned to the right on which a black pleated hat. His right arm is held over his stomach. In his left hand he holds a thick walking stick. On his back he holds a brown purse that hangs over his shoulders with a belt. At the bottom the figurine is marked in underglaze cobalt blue with the crossed swords, and is pressed into the mold with the model number “45” and incised with the shape number “5c”. We also see the hand-painted painter’s number “42.” in red. This figurine dates from the 20th century.
Condition: discrete loss of the gilding, otherwise perfect.
