On a round raised base with gilded volutes in relief is a shepherdess wearing a long skirt with white and green vertical bands. Above that she wears a white sling. Her head is turned slightly to the left on which a light blue pleated hat. In her right hand she carries a basket filled with pears. She also holds a pear in her left hand. To the right of her feet, a sheep is lying in peace. The base ring is not glazed, the base is. In this underglaze cobalt blue we see the typical crossed swords as a mark for Meissen. Imprinted into the glaze is the shape number “23:” and model number “121” and gilt painters number ’45.” The figurine dates from around 1900.
