Here we see two identical round plates in Chinese hard porcelain, both hand-painted in blue and white under the white cover, with an analogous decoration of a boat with a fisherman on the water in the center. One has the fisherman’s pole facing forward and the other facing back. The water is surrounded by rocky outcrops, conifers and two two-storey houses and a pagoda. We also see a small sun at the very top of the decor. The plateau is surrounded on the elevation by two concentric blue circles. The steep elevation is unpainted. The flat oblique border has a frieze of geometric motifs on its edge, in which four cartouches have been cut out with a floral branch. The lip is painted brown. At the bottom the plate is glazed with the exception of the stand ring. Two line motifs are painted on the wide collar. The plates are not marked. It concerns plates from the Chien Lung period, ca. 1740.

Condition: one shard of edge on one plate, and an identical small shard on the other. Some black dots in the glaze and a small baking flaw on the elevation near one plate. However, the peace that comes from it is remarkable and the two very nice dishes remain.
