Meer informatie

Presented is a large oval dish in faience made by the Wasmuel manufactory during the Art Deco period. A white tin glaze has been applied to an earthenware bottom, which is crackled. Only the border is decorated in blue and white that has been applied via transfer printing. A stylized fan pattern is printed around it, each with eight flowers and connected by a larger flower. At the bottom they are connected by pendants and pearls. A clear art deco effect can be recognized. At the rear, elongated firing errors can be detected as well as a shard on the base ring. Central is the mark “Fantaisie, Faiencerie de Wasmuel, An. Mouzin et Cie.” printed in blue. This bowl can be dated around 1930.

Condition: firing errors on the back, shard on the base ring, front is perfect.
