Frederic Lanternier and family began manufacturing Limoges China in 1857. Afterwards, the company was supplemented by the son Alfred who marked his China with “A. Lanternier & Co” and other derivatives he used in the early decades of the 20th century. He mainly produced dinner items that he decorated with floral patterns, often on the edge, on a white background, often with silver or gold extras. erfecte status. Het zijn erg mooie bordjes van topklasse.

Presented are eleven round outlined flat bread plates with C-curls on the edge in China (hard) porcelain. On a snow-white ground, there are hand-painted floral motifs, with a predominant light purple, applied to the edge. The border is raised in relief with C-curls and very beautifully glossy gilded in places. At the bottom of the center, we see the red printed mark used from 1891-1914. Also a green printed mark “Limoges A L France” and in dark red the printed stamp with “Au Palais de Cristal, Bruxelless, J. Rossum Voet”. The latter was a commercial property and a relic of the 19th trade in Brussels. The plates can be dated around 1900.

Condition: a small chip, almost invisible, given the snow-white background, on four plates, otherwise in perfect condition. They are very beautiful top class plates.
