What you see is a beautiful porcelain mythological figure group made around the last quarter of the 18th century by the factory of Berlin, Germany. On a round raised and slightly curving plinth, covered with flowers and leaves, stands the figure of Minerva, in beautiful long robes and armor, with a magnificent helmet and holding a shield with a Medusa head in the left arm. She looks questioningly at a putto (amor) with a club in the right hand and a quiver with a bow on the left leg. Behind and against her leans a sleeping Endymion (put to sleep forever by the goddess of the moon, Sélené) in a purple robe, leaning against a sleeping lion, with a helmet and sword at his feet.

The sculpture is partly slip cast and is drawn at the bottom in underglaze blue with the scepter sign used between 1763 and 1837. The sculpture has manifest neoclassical features, but also rococo elements such as the pit figure, arguing for the last quarter of the 18th century .

Condition: the statue is in perfect condition! Incredible but true.
