Shown is a small Chinese porcelain round bowl on a low base ring. Various floral motifs and curls are incised on an egg yolk-colored glaze ground and then busily painted with various enamel colors. The internal surface of the bowl bears a white glaze. At the bottom we see a central factory circle mark printed in red overglaze, further subdivided into three horizontal zones in which various signs and the number “48”. The marks stand for “Jiangxi Jingdezhen Reputable Porcelain” and the number “48” refers to the factory number. This dates back to the early Chinese People’s Republic (PROC), 1949-1965.

Condition: some wear to the enamel, otherwise in good condition.
