Meer informatie

We show an exclusive Chinese porcelain meiping miniature vase. This vase stands on a flat base where the baluster-shaped corpus transitions via a slightly curved shoulder into a short concentric neck with a flat round edge. On a white background, a polychrome enamel landscape and marine decor is sublimely hand-painted on glaze, with the exception of point-shaped under-glaze copper-red accents. The corpus is painted all around with trees with yellow and black curled trunks and green (in various shades) foliage as well as rocks. In between is a house complex with black striped roofs, brown windows and cobalt blue outlines and a pagoda with cobalt blue outlines. We also see a marine decor with trees sprouting behind rocks, one with copper-red accents. In the lake we see a bridge with two characters (one in cobalt blue) and a yellow colored sampan with cobalt blue colored fisherman and black curled waves. Mountains can be seen on the shoulder in cobalt blue and orange. At the bottom there is a white glazed flat base with circular windings. The unglazed foot ring shows an iron-red outline at the transition between the glaze and the pâte. There is no mark. This vase dates from the Qing dynasty, Kangxi imperial period, ca. 1680-1700.

Condition: minimal baking error on the foot ring, otherwise perfect.
