The so-called Delft Blue with Oriental motifs (1650-1725) are copies of Chinese porcelain. Also, the Kangxi style is introduced with new ornamental patterns such as flowering rocks, flowering shrubs and branches, as well as birds. On display are almost two identical round plates in antique Delft faience. On a stark white tin glaze we see a hand-painted underglaze blue and white decor, inspired by Chinese Kangxi porcelain. In the flat we see a decor of two baskets from which lotus plants sprout, with a bird on the edge. We also see a flying insect. Starting from the outside of the shelf, on the cavetto and border, a continuous detailed decoration of plants with curled leaves has been applied. A Taoist symbol is painted in the formed cartouches. The border is left white. The back is painted with two concentric blue lines. There are remains of samples. The front is finished with a glossy transparent lead glaze. The signs are not marked. They date from the first half of the 18th century.

Condition: normal fritting on the edge. Baking error at the rear. Good condition.
