Eleven lobed flat round plates in Tournai porcelain with a noble wedding coat of arms of Count Jean-Baptiste-Cyprien Comte de Laurétan (° 1742- † 1805) and Countess Colette -Sabine-Joseph Ghislaine Vilain XIIII, named Dame du Mont (? – † 1782), daughter of Charles-François Vilain XIIII, on the occasion of their marriage (second marriage for the Count) in 1773. The wedding coat of arms consists of two coats of arms placed side by side: left: count, famille de Laurétan: oval shield shape in two halves, in blue (azure) three silver roses, placed 2-1 with three blue roses in the shield head placed in phases on a golden background. right; : countess, famille Vilain XIIII: oval shield shape in two halves, bottom in black (saber) with white (silver) shield head. Above it a gold crown with a red base, and on top nine spikes with pearls (corresponding to the title of count or countess). Connected underneath with a silver-colored noble cross with XIIII in black on the right. All this hand-painted on a rose-purple background, surrounded by a thick oval gold band. Above we see a white-purple bow with a gold knot, this in Louis XVI style, and below it a smaller purple-white bow with green foliage on both sides enhanced with gold. This blazon is central to the flat of the round flat plate with a wavy edge with an ivory-colored cream glaze. The edges of the flat borders are decorated with the gilded French tip and ferroneries in red, all on a gold wavy band all around. The lip of the rim is also gilded all around. Fully glazed on the back and marked inside the base ring with the gilded intersecting swords with an “+” in each corner.

Condition: superb !! Sometimes a small black dot in the glaze, but not on all plates. Some chips at the base ringof one plate. The paintwork is fantastic without any wear and tear from the emails! Absolute top work. Price : € 3000 per plate (in 2013 one such identical plate was auctioned at Christies, sale 3560, lot 7, for 2500 euros without costs!) the whole (11 plates): € 30,000
