Meer informatie

Rectangular scalloped large flat dish in faience, made in France, the eastern part and therefore called faience de l’Est, also because it is difficult to identify the exact manufacture that made it. This kind of decor was made by many firms, starting from poncifs scattered all over the place.

On a very creamy background, an overglaze hand-painted floral decor with black outlines has been applied to the flat. Very roughly displayed flowers, including a rose. Scalloped hem with vertical embossed radial elevation in each neckline. The border is painted with flowered twigs with green leaves. Sawtooth pattern on the rim and a burgundy painted lip. The bottom is fully glazed with the exception of the base ring. We must see marks. Slightly raised foot.

Condition: only black dots in the tin glaze, otherwise in very good condition. Decorative.
