Shown is a Chinese porcelain figure of Guanjing, made in the Dehua region. It shows a standing Guanjing, with pleated cloth. Her head has a hairdo, a chain on the neck. A lotus flower flanks her left shoulder, which also has a cylindrical element. In her left hand she carries an elongated staff. She is standing on a round plateau. At the bottom of this are lotus flowers with stems and fungi are imposed in relief with a wavy water feature in front. The back is evenly glazed. The porcelain is translucent. At the bottom, the sculpture is closed off by a flat plateau with a round opening in the center. The statue is fairly new and dates from around 1980.
