Presented is a small round porcelain Chinese plate. On a light greenish white cover, a polychrome decoration is hand-painted. The flat is decorated with a blue water landscape with two mandarin ducks (symbol of conjugal fidelity) in blue enamel, with gilded heads, and several lotus plants in iron red with gilded accents. In the sky we see, among other things, a flying goose, with gilded feathers. We also see an incised blade of grass. This scene is outlined by two underglaze blue concentric lines. At the transition to the elevation is a frieze of gate motifs in light iron red with gilded points and gilded edges. At the top, this frieze is outlined all around by a serrated gilded frame. The elevation is quite pronounced and turns into a wide, flat, sloping edge. This collar is all around in polychrome of iron red, green, brown, black, hand painted with the Eight Taoist Immortals, sitting on mythological animals including a carp, lake perch, horse, lion, lobster in iron red color with gilded accents. According to the hands of the timepiece, starting at noon, we see successively, as attributes of the Immortals, the lotus, the fan, the sword, the gourd, the castanets, the flower basket, the musical instrument and the flute. Between these figures there are always swirling waves painted in brown enamel. The rim has an underglaze blue circular line and the lip is brushed brown. The back is painted on the collar with two stylistic lotus plants. Apart from the base ring, the back is completely glazed in a light bluish color. The back is not marked.

Condition: several dots in the cover, several defects in the base ring, some flee bites at the rim, hairline restored.
