We present you a rare exceptional richly decorated dragoon or palace vase in Chinese porcelain with typical Chinese Imari decor. This is made up of different parts as shown by the visible concentric lines. This large vase has a pear-shaped pot-bellied body that flows smoothly, via a round gilded ring, into a narrowing cylindrical neck to widen at the top again into a trumpet-shaped top with lobed top rim. At the bottom, the vase rejuvenates to a high circular base. The vase is beautiful, partly in raised relief, hand-painted on a white cover, with an Imari decor of a landscape with a large rock-shaped structure from which a large branching prune branch with blossoms and surrounding grasses sprouts, surrounded by several standing cranes, a handle basket with flowers, floating herons, phoenixes, pheasants, lotus plants, chrysanthemums, peonies, dozens of small flowers, mushrooms, butterflies, insects,…. Typically in light cobalt blue under the cover with also orange iron red and gold above the cover. The rim of the vase has a frieze of cloud motifs in darker iron red, in which a winged insect (bee?) Is painted mightily. At the base there is a high frieze of gate motifs in dark cobalt with two parallel concentric lines at the bottom. The interior of the vase is made of biscuit, with a decoration of tendrils and lotus flowers painted at the top in copper-red. The overwhelming decor nevertheless flows smoothly into each other and partly thanks to the unpainted areas of the white covering, this gives it an airy aspect. Such a smooth transition makes the case for the imperial period of Yongzhen rather than Kangxi. However this is a 19e century copy. The base is not glazed. There is no mark. Mighty beautiful dragoon vase, rare, and unsurpassed in decor and painting. Top vase!

Condition: perfect.
