Johannes Dommisse is a native of Delft who is considered a Belgian artist. Presented is a beautiful sculpture in profile in green patinated terre cuite. It is the depiction of a semi-naked kneeling male warrior with a powerful facial expression and a bow in the left hand. The statue is placed on a rocky base and is called a low rectangular plinth in black marble. It is signed with the name J. DOMMISSE in the moulle in low relief. Also numbered with “2197” and in a rectangle “Made in Belgium”.

Condition: very good, beautiful patina.
