Presented is a beautiful decorative vase made by Emile Gallé in Nancy France during the art nouveau period. It has a rare shape with a spherical body from which a long cylindrical tapering neck develops. The collar is widened at the top, semi-spherical and ends with a flat round plateau. The glass is inlaid with color powders ranging from dark brown-purple to light gray-greenish. Two layers of glass have been applied to it in a very dark brown-purple on the one hand and a lighter green on the other. On the corpus there is a large flower with acid-etched petals, and leaves and tendrils run on the neck to the top. The leaves have beautiful veins. The object is signed in cameo with “GallE” with Greek “E”. At the bottom we see a beautifully polished pontille. Can be dated around 1910.
Condition: some white dots on the body but due to the production process, otherwise perfect condition.
