Presented is a rare Belgian earthenware amphora vase with two handles. It is polychrome hand-painted on a matte black background with stylized flowers in Gouda style. Antoine Dubois founded a simple company in Mons which in 1925 was named “s.a. La Céramique Montoise ”. The most common painting style was that of the Gouda style. The vase is impressed at the bottom with the decor number “76” and “Made in Belgium” and is hand-painted, signed with “C.B. Aren Plateel ”in olive green, which is rare.

Condition: some minimal injuries to the edge of the foot, otherwise perfect.
