Japanese square stepped bonsai or flower stand in solid, beautifully shiny grained coromandel on four low rectangular legs with a notch at the edge. Coromandel is an expensive dark wood with chocolate-colored veins from South East Asia, related to ebony. Very decorative and functional. Twentieth century.

Condition: some minor scratches on the top as expected, otherwise perfect.
