Offered is a rare round ball-shaped pot with a wide rim made of stoneware (grès) made by the Boch Frères Keramis factory in La Louvière. The vase is covered with a semi-matt light green background on which several colored matt lead glazes have been applied by hand (brown, black), some of which are in relief (black). It concerns a so-called drip glaze. The blue glaze is glossy and has a slightly iridescent effect. The vase is also decorated with the same glazes on the inside. At the bottom, the base is inscribed by hand with “Grés Keramis”, along with the small letter “c” which indicates grès ceramique (a better version than the grès ordinaire). In addition, the embossed shape number “929”, which indicates a production of pre-1926 with mostly Japanese-inspired shapes and with drip glazes, and also with the engraved initials “DUI” (unknown to me).
Condition: perfect.
