Basil Ede was born in England in 1931. During his lifetime he became one of the most famous bird painters. It is an edition in Limoges Crafted Fine Porcelain, each time decorated with a bird decor painted by Basil Ede. Each plate is signed on the edge with the signature Basil Ede, in black. The lip is always gilded. On the back we see an overglaze printed bird decor in black, and also in blue overglaze the name of the relevant bird in capital letters with the signature of Basil Ede. The capital letters are also printed in blue: “Limited First Edition”, “Crafted in fine porcelain”, “Limoges France” and “© 1984”.
