Presented is a beautiful oval soft porcelain decorative coupe made in Sèvres France. On a square gilded copper base with recessed corners, a round conical trunk is placed, decorated with gilded rocaille work, which ends in a wide oval coupe. On the outside it has a bleu du roi fond where on both sides a hand-painted romantic decor on the one hand and a landscape decor on the other, in a broad rocaille oval cartouche, surrounded by a pearl rim and thickly applied glossy gilded C-curls. is on a creamy white lightly crackled background with a fantastic flower bouquet in the center (including roses) and on the top a frieze of flowers all around, hand-painted in the purest polychromy. On this we also see the classic Sèvres mark with the 2 intertwined “L’s” within which the letter “M” occurs, but an apocryphal mark. In addition, there are also painting marks. At the top, an ajoure gilded broad bronze frieze with rosettes and palmettes is applied all around. A dark gilded metal handle in the shape of a female therme has been attached to both ends with spurs up to the trunk. The whole exudes splendor.
Condition: perfect.
