Meer informatie

Shown is a hexagonal milk jug with silver lid. The shape is clearly European (based on a silver object), the decor Chinese. It is thus a manifesto Chine de Commande object. The pear-shaped shape is hexagonal, as are the base and top edge. It has an ear-shaped handle and a V-shaped pouring spout. Under a light bluish-white covering, a blue and white hand-painted decor of various Chinese characters in an exterior setting has been painted in a sapphire-bluish color. The handle has a stripe pattern. It stands on a hexagonal, slightly raised base. At the top (in Europe) a hexagonal silver band is attached to which a hexagonal hinged lid with geometric motifs and with a hexagonal curvature with knob is attached in the center. At the bottom we see an unglazed base ring and a glazed base on which a mark in the form of a type “3 or Z” has been applied in underglaze blue. This was painted to order for Europe. Four hammered silver marks, unknown to me.

Condition: some black dots in the glaze, otherwise in very good condition.
