The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Factory was founded in 1775 and is still operating today. The same goes for the Bing and Grondahl Porcellaensfabrik which was founded in 1853. Presented are three very beautifully stylistically portrayed bears during a walk, early release. The big bear was made by the Royal Copenhagen Factory in so-called “iron porcelain”, a type of soft porcelain such as bone china, and covered with a glossy opaque white glaze. Gray-black accentuation of the eyes and mouth. The bear is standing upright on all four legs. These are not glazed at the bottom. It is marked on the lower abdomen in underglaze blue with the three waves and “IZ” and in green with “DENMARK” and “320”. The bottom left front leg is very superficially impressed with “52J”. Can be dated around 1923. The two little bears, one walking on its four legs, the other sitting on its buttocks, were created by the Bing and Grondahl Porcellaensfabrik. They are covered with a glossy creamy-white glaze that takes on a brownish hue towards the legs, and face rather in light blue and with brown muzzle. The legs are largely glazed at the bottom. The sitting bear is marked on its bottom in underglaze blue with the letters “B & G” and in green with the three towers, “B & G”, “Made in Denmark” and “KJ” and the numbers “2217”. The walking little bear is marked at the bottom of the legs in green with the three towers, “B&G DENMARK”, “EZ” and the numbers “2218” and in blue underglaze with “B&G”.
Condition: the three bears are all in perfect condition. Price: for the three bears together € 1300; for the big bear separately: € 600; for the two little bears together € 700 Feedback sturen Geschiedenis Opgeslagen Community
