Presented is a rare set of seven soft porcelain cream pots with lid on a round decorative plate with a central elevation. The paste is milky white and very homogeneous. The round pots and lid have a beautiful white glossy cover and are decorated in underglaze blue with a frieze of ear of corn flowers at the top edge (decor à l’épi). Above the round base there is a concentric blue line, and at the edge also a blue circular line with a concentric blue line with wolf teeth below. On three bags we see the intertwined large initials “RBLK” (unknown to me) in the center of the corpus. The handle is also decorated with cobalt blue on its vertical part. The round domed drop-in lid has the same decoration on the rim as on the cup. The handle is in the shape of an upright pomegranate which has a blue decoration on its top in star shape. The handle has a rather rectangular shape but with a concave curved part at the bottom. The round plateau has the same decoration on the edge of the shelf as the pots and lids. It has a sloping upright wall with a blue concentric line at the top. In the center is a round cylindrical, upwards tapered, elevation with a flat rounded top on which a jar fits. The underside is completely flat and glazed. An opening is visible in the center. The base of the pots is glazed except for the base ring. In the center we see a hand-painted letter in underglaze blue on a few pots, including the letter “w”, “i”, “B”. These may be paint marks. The shape of the plateau (round) and cream pots exude a neoclassical style and are thus dated at the end of the 18th century.
Condition: one jar has an internal black tip, otherwise all perfect status.
