Meer informatie
Here you see a figure of a male grape picker in hard porcelain, probably made in a Thuringian factory. The figure is hand painted in polychrome. On his right arm hangs a basket for picking grapes. He has a walking stick in his right hand, a money purse in his left. It stands on a round raised base with colored flowers and leaves, and with gilded C-curls. At the back it is supported by a tree trunk. Bottom unglazed base ring with glazed base. There is no mark. Probably produced in the Thuringian factories. The statue is suggestive of the neo-rococo period from around 1870.
Condition: small piece of walking stick has broken off and part of the strap on the shoulder is missing, otherwise in good condition.
