Presented is a rare specimen of a sea lion in pâte de verre (glass paste), designed by H. Mercier and executed by Amalric Daum, Nancy, France. In a rare yellow color with dark yellow and amber striped rectangular raised base a standing sea lion, facing obliquely, is depicted. The base is signed in the mold on one side with “AWALTER NANCY” and on the other side with “h mercier”. The object has been smoothly polished at the bottom. Top work!
